As a responsible corporate citizen, Altech is committed to conducting its business according to sustainable practices that take into account the people with whom the company interacts, the lasting economic impact the organisation has on the planet, and the economic environment. Sustainability is integrated into the company’s everyday business practice and treated as business imperative that will affect the long-term well-being of the company.

In identifying its most material sustainability issues, Altech considers its daily interaction with stakeholders such as suppliers, partners, customers, employees and shareholders and how its business impacts these groups. Many of the issues identified are therefore closely linked to Altech’s core operational issues and risks. The company also takes into consideration the issue of transformation in the South African context and global concerns about climate change.
