Altech NuPay - Alberton Rugby Club

In 2003, Altech NuPay became the main sponsors of Alberton Rugby Club. For the past seven years, Altech NuPay has assisted the club both financially and administratively keeping the club at the highest level of club rugby within South Africa.

Alberton Rugby Club, celebrating its centenary in 2012, participates in the Pirates Grand Challenge League, the premier league within the Lions Rugby Union. The club is the training and development ground for up and coming rugby players within the greater Alberton area, boasting a number of Springbok and provincial rugby stars including current Lions flanker, Derek Minnie.

Alberton Rugby Club boasts one of the largest junior rugby clubs in South Africa, with a membership of over 300 players from as young as 4 years old. Altech NuPay has always considered the development of young sports enthusiasts a priority, and Alberton Rugby Club is the perfect platform to introduce rising rugby stars to the big arena.
